A walk down memory lane

In May we took a family trip up to Bellingham to revisit the scene of mine and Rory's college days. Even though we grew up 20 minutes away from each other we met up in Bellingham. We had a wonderful time walking through the campus. Cecily was fascinated by all the art and sculptures through out the campus. And we managed to prevent Rosie from jumping in the fountain!

Reaching new heights at the Library!

Even college libraries have a children's section.

Cecily decided to join the totem pole.

Thinking about it.........The water looks so inviting.

New Glasses-- Take One

Sisters! Looking sweet in their new spectacles.
Here are the girls sporting their new wire framed glasses. These glasses are for special occasions because they are not very durable or well made. These are the ones that they were able to get through their state insurance. They were the only frames that fit them in the box that they had to choose from. However, the state is now allowing us to order Miraflex frames (Like Rosie's regular pink glasses). This is a very good thing, since it only took a day and a half before Cecily's glasses were broken.

hmmm... I wonder why the glasses keep breaking?!
The fact that they are wearing their swimsuits is no indication of warm weather.
They just like to wear them inside the house.

Stargazing

Cecily and Daddy trying to get a look at the early evening moon.
Tuesday nights have become our family fun nights. We eat personal pizzas and do something special, like play games or go for a walk. This past Tuesday the weather was fair so we ate our pizzas outside. Our theme this week for our home school curriculum was the moon. So Rory set up the telescope and the girls got to take a good look.

Kisses underneath the moon!

I see the moon!

When the sun comes out in May! We play!

Flying high on the big girl swing!

Sarah, Rosie, Brooklynn relaxing in the park.

Alexis and Cecily love to play together!

Mother's Day

Cecily playing a special mother's day song on her toy violin.
We hosted the Mother's Day celebration at our house this year. We invited both sides of the family over to our place. I really haven't entertained much since my surgery. But we figured that having family over was a great way to start back up again. It ended up that only my (Jen's) family was able to come. Never the less, we had a wonderfully relaxing time together. Rory helped me make Thai Beef Wraps, Mom made an amazing salad and we of course ate cake. (No celebration is complete in our family with out it!)

Cecily and Rosie made lots of sweet crafts for me in Sunday School and at Aunite Kathy's house (they get to go there on Fridays.) My mom brought over supplies for the girls to make me cards. When she got here, she and the girls went into the bedroom and made them for me. It was super cute and special. (When I was a little girl my Grammie would always send us supplies to make my mom a mother's day card. My mom wanted to keep that tradition going)

The girls with Nanny, wearing jumpers she made for them.
Rosie also played us a song.
The girls (yes in swim suits) had fun playing with their little people sets.

Uncle D helped the girls set up the train station!

Flowers for Mamma

Rory took the girls down to a very kind friend's garden and the girls got to pick out some flowers for me for mother's day. The bouquet was spectacular! (I took some pictures but they are on my parent's camera and I haven't gotten them off yet.) I felt very special. After we enjoyed them for a little bit, I put cuttings from the bouquet in our flower press. I am excited to see how they turn out!

Mother's Day High Tea

All in the family. Rory's Aunt Anna, Sister Genesis, Cousin Megan, Aunt Penny,  Grandma and Me.
Grandma Cannon arranged for a beautiful High Tea at the Victorian Tea Room. The food was delicious and the company was wonderful! We had a nice time visiting as well as looking at all the pretty things in the Tea Room store. Grandma had a corsage for all of us and a door prize! It was such a sweet time!
Thank you Grandma!
Baby C making a move! Maybe he or she will arrive on Mother's Day!
Cute Cousins!
