The results are in... It's a Girl!

The legacy contintues. We are expecting the arrival of another girl! We are excited and some what unsurprised. In our circle of friends the vast majority-- especially those hailing or originally hailing from the Poulsbo area. Rory and I both come from families that go-- Girl, Girl, Boy, so it will be interesting to see if we carry on in that same tradition. Speaking of keeping with tradition, we are going to try to keep the NewB's real name a secret until she makes her debut.

Here are some pictures of the ever growing belly. Little miss has definitely had a growth spurt this month!

I am currently 20 1/2 weeks and due September 10th. I started showing really early and people at church started to notice when I was 8 weeks. (I didn't even find out I was pregnant until 6 weeks) The baby is moving around a lot now, I can feel her through out the day.

The Smile Mobile

Some of you may have heard the legend, and I am here to say that it's true--- At 13 months-- CJ has all of her teeth--even all her molars. Since she has so many teeth, and it is recommended that children have their first dental visit at 12 months, I made CJ and appointment when the Smile Mobile came to town. The Smile Mobile is a dental office in a Winnebago that travels around and gives kids check ups. It was so cute. The dentist in our Smile Mobile was from Children's Hospital in Seattle. It was a very nice little mobile dental office. (You would have been amazed!)

Well, the dentist said he had never seen a baby this age with so many teeth! He put some vitamin paste on her teeth and gave me some good tips on keeping them clean. He said that she should have her teeth brushed once a day and use non-fluoride toothpaste. He also said that the best way to brush was to have her sit on my lap facing forward and lean back. Since she does have so many teeth at such a young age she is at risk for tooth decay. One of the factors that contribute to that is that she is still eating a lot of soft foods-- coarser foods like meat actually help keep tarter down and act as natural cleaning agents. Fortunately, CJ is learning how to use her chompers pretty well, so she will be eating steak in no time! She also really likes to brush her teeth.

Here are some pictures of Rory and CJ brushing their teeth in February.

A Closer Look

Here are some pictures of our NewB at the 18 week ultrasound. It's pretty amazing! Take a close look... let us know if you think our little NewB is a boy or a girl!? We will let you know soon! These pictures were taken April 10th. Everything looks great! The baby is four days ahead of schedule (this changes depending on when the baby hits a growth spurt-- it doesn't necisarily mean that the baby will be big or that I will be early-- but it is a good sign of health). The doctor was really pleased with this report-- and so were we! (Cecily was always a bit on the small side and with Cecily I had cysts in the placenta--- No sign of cysts in this pregnancy-- Praise the Lord!)

Our little NewB is waving good-bye!
