Mother's Day

Cecily playing a special mother's day song on her toy violin.
We hosted the Mother's Day celebration at our house this year. We invited both sides of the family over to our place. I really haven't entertained much since my surgery. But we figured that having family over was a great way to start back up again. It ended up that only my (Jen's) family was able to come. Never the less, we had a wonderfully relaxing time together. Rory helped me make Thai Beef Wraps, Mom made an amazing salad and we of course ate cake. (No celebration is complete in our family with out it!)

Cecily and Rosie made lots of sweet crafts for me in Sunday School and at Aunite Kathy's house (they get to go there on Fridays.) My mom brought over supplies for the girls to make me cards. When she got here, she and the girls went into the bedroom and made them for me. It was super cute and special. (When I was a little girl my Grammie would always send us supplies to make my mom a mother's day card. My mom wanted to keep that tradition going)

The girls with Nanny, wearing jumpers she made for them.
Rosie also played us a song.
The girls (yes in swim suits) had fun playing with their little people sets.

Uncle D helped the girls set up the train station!
