Just Right!

Thanks to our good friends for opening their doors to us. Josh and Heidi allowed us to stay with them when we came up to Bellingham. They made us feel so at home and we had such a great visit with them. Even Rosie who has a very hard time at new places settled right in. They have definitely mastered the art of hospitality. Thanks again!
Josh's brother Jordon was out for a visit. All the little ladies thought he was wonderful.

Is anything more fun than a drink with an umbrella?

Oh the YMCA.... so many hours spent working there through college...building my character.
We had to make a stop at I Wanna Moka....because it was true.

A fair day!

When we were in Bellingham a little fair happened to be in the Bellis Fair parking lot. This was a great opportunity for some family fun! First stop the Helicopter Rides!
Practicing their helicopter skills --- just like Uncle Adam. Although Cecily pointed out there weren't any Chinooks at the fair.

This ride was a dream come true for Cecily. She had seen Curious George goes to the fair and wanted to go too!

Yeah, they weren't even close to the height limit, but thankfully the guy made an exception!

Our little duck fan, of course she picked the duck!

Her first cotton candy....no day at the fair is complete without it!
We thought she was just tuckered out... well she single-handedly polished off a box of Laffeine's doughnuts earlier that day. She later puked lots of multi-colored sprinkles.

Time with some Elephants we will never forget

When in the 'Ham' do as the Bellinghamsters do.... become a tree hugger.
When Rory was in college he lived in a house known as The Elephant house. The guys he shared a roof with were known as the Elephants... and are still known to us as The Elephants. The Elephants have added wives and many, many children to this tribe. And several of the clan have migrated back to Bellingham. On this particular trip we were able to meet up with two of the original 7.
We met up with Nate and Shannon and their 5 kids in Boulevard Park (Only two are pictured). Trying to have a conversation and keep track of 7 kids between us was interesting! Truth be told, we only had two to keep track of and we were the ones loosing track of our littlest. In our defense she is sneaky and fast. Thankfully our friend Gina also joined us, she was a great help with all the kids, and it was so wonderful to see her.

We also got to spend and little time at the Mauss pad. Annabelle and Cecily made fast friends. They have since become pen pals and have been known to skype every once in a great while! Rosie found their son Jack to be very fascinating. She proved to be a great conversationalist and he proved to be a great listener.
Annabelle and Cecily became Best Friends Forever in no time flat!

Hitting the Road

Daddy and his little helpers putting on the training wheels.
One of the big items on our list while in Bellingham was getting in some good Bike riding time...at least for the little ladies. Since we had Daddy to ourselves we planned a great shopping trip to get the training wheels and then had an exciting time putting them on. That was all just the warm up to the main event...riding a big girl bike with training wheels!

Daddy/Daughter moment... this is how you ride your bike.

Stop signs mean STOP!

A little bit of Charity

While visiting WWU we got to meet up with some of our special students. We had a great visit with Charity. And then later Rory did some pre-marriage counseling with Amanda and Joe. Jen was more than a little proud that both Charity and Amanda are English/Creative writing majors... not that she can take any credit for that at all.
Hmm...this nose ring is interesting... I think I will take it with me.
