Growing up my parents did all the goodies, and bunny & chick stuff on the first day of Spring. That way things were much more focused on Holy Week. For us the first day of Spring goodies included ... always a chocolate bunny and some peeps.
Since my Aunt Kathleen and Uncle Howard and cousin Heidi were coming up around the first day of spring... (and as if any Grandma or Nanny needs and excuse to do something fun with their granddaughters)... Nanny put on a little party for the girls. Since Cecily is two now... this was a big hit!
