She's Two Now!

We decided to keep Cecily's 2nd Birthday party as simple as possible. Last year we tried to have a big party with friends near and far... but CJ got the flu the night before and barfed all over that idea! So.... this year we had a little party at home and invited her friends from the neighborhood and family. Her friends came over, we ate cupcakes, and played outside for a little bit. Then everyone walked home. It was short but sweet. The family stayed for lunch and we opened her gifts with them. (We had a strict no gift policy with her friends....she doesn't need anything, and with this economy nobody needs an extra expense!)

It was such a fun day! She really liked her new kitchen. It took my mom two nights to put it all together!

Then the next day at church we had a little Birthday party with her friends in the nursery. That way she could celebrate with her church friends too!

Cecily had a great time. To this day she sometimes comments with a sigh "My Birthday is All Over Now!"
