Miss Communication

It would be safe to say that Cecily is a language sponge. She picks right up on words, and had always loved sign language. In fact if you teach her a sign for a word then she most often says the word out loud along with the sign. Well... we have learned to be careful! Not only does she echo everything we say (this makes having a conversation a bit difficult). But she is also on the look out for new signs. A few months ago Cecily became aware of those wonderful treats known as "fruit snacks." Unfortunately I happened to get something in my eye while she and I were discussing them. I apparently rubbed my eye repeatedly while talking about "snacks." So now whenever Cecily wants some "snacks" she puts her finger in her eye. You would think that this painful sign would deter her from asking for "snacks." But no... she likes them that much she willing to put her finger in her eye repeatedly to get them.
