So Blue!

It was about 15 minutes before my book club was due to come over. The house was picked up. Cecily was quietly coloring with her new markers up at the table behind me. Rosemary was nursing. I took a sigh of relief. What a nice peaceful moment.

After Rosemary finished nursing. I stood up and looked at Cecily. I immediately had to cover my mouth. I wasn't sure whether to laugh or scream. It really did shock me when I saw a little child that was the cross between a brave heart warrior or a smurf.
I immediately put her in the bath. After I definitely took a few pictures. (Don't do this again, BUT smile for the camera... I know... but who can pass a moment up like that?)
Once Cecily was in the bath Rosemary thought that she should join Cecily. So I told Rosemary that we would have to wait until Cecily wasn't so blue. Cecily then started singing the song from Madame Blueberry, a Veggie Tales movie. I asked her to sing her song for me in this video below.Wednesday, October 29, 2008
Miss Communication
It would be safe to say that Cecily is a language sponge. She picks right up on words, and had always loved sign language. In fact if you teach her a sign for a word then she most often says the word out loud along with the sign. Well... we have learned to be careful! Not only does she echo everything we say (this makes having a conversation a bit difficult). But she is also on the look out for new signs. A few months ago Cecily became aware of those wonderful treats known as "fruit snacks." Unfortunately I happened to get something in my eye while she and I were discussing them. I apparently rubbed my eye repeatedly while talking about "snacks." So now whenever Cecily wants some "snacks" she puts her finger in her eye. You would think that this painful sign would deter her from asking for "snacks." But no... she likes them that much she willing to put her finger in her eye repeatedly to get them. For the birds
As you can see from the video we have had some interesting visitors. I firmly believe that this crow spies on us. He peeks in the window and waits until I have just gotten out of the shower and then starts knocking. With out fail his first knock always sounds exactly like someone knocking on the door. After his first knock... he waits, laughing while I frantically throw clothes on muttering under my breath about those strangers who go door to door handing out pamphlets at the worst time. I frantically run into the living room... dressed presentably (as in... I at least have clothes on) and then the little bugger, as if to mock me, starts knocking again. And then he keeps on knocking.... all the live long day. Cecily just looks up and says, "Big Crow... Cute." At least someone thinks he's cute.

The Necklace
Cecily loves to put things under her chin and call it her "necklace." Here is one of her creative necklaces. Enjoy the video!

Mini Jenni and the Professor

Here is Cecily wearing her "broken glasses." These are her sunglasses that the lenses have fallen out of. And let's be honest all of her sunglasses are "broken glasses" in some way or another.

Silly Cessy

CJ had to have mommy's socks put on over her PJ's. So funny!
CJ on her Faux Cell Phone. The girl likes to multi-task!
Nice Ride! (By the way, there are tons of pictures of Jen at this age making this exact face!)

Here is CJ quite happy to have mommy's sunglasses. This pair of sunglasses did not live to see another spring. CJ now has her own pair of sunglasses, and no longer gets to have mommy's.
Our little evangelist. Knocking on doors with her Bible in hand. She loves her Bible, and "Bible" is one of her newer words.
Arnold has nothing on this girl! Check out those muscles!
