Farm Girls

We were studying horses for preschool, so what better way to learn about a horse than to go a visit a few. A friend from church runs a horse farm near us and graciously allowed us to come and meet her beautiful horses. After an introduction we had the pleasure of exploring the farm for a bit. It was one of those beautiful days that remind us why we live here!

Wide Open Spaces.... this is what this girl needs!

Flowers for Mamma.

Now that is a Cat Fish!

Just seconds after this picture was taken a "boy Cow" jumped out of the bushes right in front of Rosemary.  I yelled stop and both Rosemary and the cow listened to me. Rory carefully retrieved Rosie. She retold that story for months.

Farm Fun

Every June our play group Sprouts hits the farm to see our favorite animals and enjoy the beautiful place. I am positive that the parents almost enjoy the farm more than the kids because it is such a pretty place! Here are a few pics of our family on that fun day!

Cecily helped to feed the chickens. Before we came she was going to share her blanket with them and they were going to make her feel better.

In The Garden

Rosemary
Sweet Cecily

We have very good friends named Tom and Pauline who we love very much. They have a lovely garden and very peaceful home. We had the pleasure of enjoying them and their quiet place for a Sunday afternoon. As it turns out she has Rosemary and Sweet Cecily in her garden (it's actually spelled Cicily - I think-- but close enough). Here are some picture of Cecily going to collect the eggs with Pauline.

I'm ready for the eggs now! Let me hold them!

Farm-tastic

We spent a Farm-tastic day on our favorite farm on my Birthday weekend. One of my birthday presents was that Rory took control of the camera on our outing and I made sure that we got some pictures of me. So when the girls are all grown up we will have proof that I was around in the family album...that's if I ever get our pictures printed and put into an album. But anyway, three cheers for Rory, I think this is a sweet picture.
