Beautiful Fall!

Sunny November Moment

This was a momentous November day. We experienced a brief break from the storms (later that day we lost power due to the unruly weather.) So the girls and I made a break for it, and decided to get some out door playing time. It was momentous for another reason... I finally was able to get some actually shoes on Rosemary! That little girl makes it impossible to get shoes on her. She curls up her toes, and I have tried every trick in the book to make her cooperate. Robeez are the only kinds of shoes I can get on her. Well, I was able to get her in size 4 tennis shoes-- so she could go out in the cold and play. She could hardly walk in them, but they did the trick! She had lots of fun playing outside with her Sissy!

Little Punkin Head

Okay, so no October is complete without a baby in a pumpkin hat. (Notice that in the Farm-tastic pic CJ is sporting her Candy-Corn hat) Thanks Aunt Kathy from Texas for the cute hat and to Grandma Bear for the little bear.

Farm-tastic

We spent a Farm-tastic day on our favorite farm on my Birthday weekend. One of my birthday presents was that Rory took control of the camera on our outing and I made sure that we got some pictures of me. So when the girls are all grown up we will have proof that I was around in the family album...that's if I ever get our pictures printed and put into an album. But anyway, three cheers for Rory, I think this is a sweet picture.

A bug's life

Okay, so if you've seen one picture, I guess you've seen them all... But I wanted to put up a few more. I am way behind... as my next post will explain. But I hope to get caught up on all the blogs I have been accumulating.

This picture was taken when she was 3 weeks old.

Fall Festivities

Here are a few of our favorite fall moments so far. This is the beautiful tree outside of Grandpa Cliff's house (Rory's Step-dad).
Cessy has found her pumpkin... it makes a perfect seat!
Mommy and Rosemary admiring the chickens at the farm... OK so Rosemary is totally out, but Mommy is having a great time!
Here is Cecily washing her pumpkin. Next we have to get all that gunk out. That was fun!
Cessy likes to point out the window to our front porch and say, "I made it"

Daddy is the proud artist of our pumpkin cat. This is actually the first pumpkin he remembers carving.

Cecily is showing off her apron that Grandma Bear made her. I just started clicking and she just started posing. So funny!
This is my favorite shot! Work it girl!

Falling in Love

I really love the fall. All of a sudden trees that you have driven by for months suddenly become the most beautiful thing you've ever seen. It's time to pull out the fleece and flannel. I have even donned a pair of Smart Wool socks for the first time this season. (For those of you with constantly cold extremities...these socks are great... they really keep me warm with out having to wear really bulky wool socks.) On the same inaugural Smart Wool Day, I also enjoyed a Soy Chai Latte... the first hot drink of the season. Yum! What a treat~ Next up is a Starbucks Pumpkin Hot Chocolate! It's time to enjoy all the pumpkin baked goods as well. This blog is really starting to make me hungry!
Along with our fall decorations I have also been enjoying my fall music. The artists/albums that I really enjoy this time of year are Norah Jones, Allison Krause, Rosie Thomas and an instrumental CD called something like Classical Guitar. It's all very relaxing especially with all the pumpkin spice and maple candles lit. I love these artists anyways, but it is funny how much they actually reference the fall in their songs.
Here are a few pictures of Cecily enjoying the fall.
In the picture above she is showing the craft that she made at our playgroup Sprouts. Our theme was A is for Apple.
This is her Picasso rendition of Jonny Appleseed.
I like to call this picture: "Tut Tut it Looks Like Rain"
A very happy Fall to you... may you enjoy a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils, a cup of spiced cider and a walk in the leaves on a crisp day.
