So Happy Together!

It is so much fun to watch the girls playing together. Rosemary is very interactive, and has such a bright personality. She has to be in the middle of everything and does not want to be left out for a moment. In the past week she has started pulling herself up on things, she only gets to her knees but it's only a matter of time. She also goes from sitting to her hands and knees... just testing things out. But if there is a remote or phone she wants to get...watch out.... the girl breaks out into an army crawl.

One thing the two of them like to do is to play in bed. Cecily has been into doing this lately, because she can have a binky while she is in bed. She likes to go and sit in her bed now that we converted it to a toddler bed. (We are preparing to phase out the binky...we figured that with a new baby, potty training, and toddler bed we should take things one at a time.)

Here are some pictures of her chilling in her bed.

Spring Fling Slide Show

Here is a Slide Show with some more pictures of the First Day of Spring Party, as well as some other spring inspired photographs!

Hope you enjoy my little chick-a-dees!

She's Two Now!

We decided to keep Cecily's 2nd Birthday party as simple as possible. Last year we tried to have a big party with friends near and far... but CJ got the flu the night before and barfed all over that idea! So.... this year we had a little party at home and invited her friends from the neighborhood and family. Her friends came over, we ate cupcakes, and played outside for a little bit. Then everyone walked home. It was short but sweet. The family stayed for lunch and we opened her gifts with them. (We had a strict no gift policy with her friends....she doesn't need anything, and with this economy nobody needs an extra expense!)

It was such a fun day! She really liked her new kitchen. It took my mom two nights to put it all together!

Then the next day at church we had a little Birthday party with her friends in the nursery. That way she could celebrate with her church friends too!

Cecily had a great time. To this day she sometimes comments with a sigh "My Birthday is All Over Now!"

Decorating Cookies

Growing up my parents did all the goodies, and bunny & chick stuff on the first day of Spring. That way things were much more focused on Holy Week. For us the first day of Spring goodies included ... always a chocolate bunny and some peeps.

Since my Aunt Kathleen and Uncle Howard and cousin Heidi were coming up around the first day of spring... (and as if any Grandma or Nanny needs and excuse to do something fun with their granddaughters)... Nanny put on a little party for the girls. Since Cecily is two now... this was a big hit!

Here is a video that I am sure you will enjoy of CJ "decorating" her cookies...wait and see what she does with the frosting.

Abe Lincoln

This video was taken a few days after Cecily's 2nd Birthday. She LOVES the number five and is always spotting it everywhere. She also really likes pennies... well Abe Lincoln is on the Penny and the Five dollar Bill. She is always asking us what does Abe Lincoln say... to find out what he says... watch the video.

She needs to eat!

This is definitely a moment caught in time. I had pulled out the camera to take a cute pic of Cecily holding Rosemary and sitting with Rory. Well, just as I hit the button she said, "She needs to eat!" and lifted up her shirt to nurse Rosemary.

Cecily also has to have a turn with the pump. She is a mechanical little girl, so she likes to help me put it together. Then she has to take "her turn."
