The Smile Mobile

Some of you may have heard the legend, and I am here to say that it's true--- At 13 months-- CJ has all of her teeth--even all her molars. Since she has so many teeth, and it is recommended that children have their first dental visit at 12 months, I made CJ and appointment when the Smile Mobile came to town. The Smile Mobile is a dental office in a Winnebago that travels around and gives kids check ups. It was so cute. The dentist in our Smile Mobile was from Children's Hospital in Seattle. It was a very nice little mobile dental office. (You would have been amazed!)

Well, the dentist said he had never seen a baby this age with so many teeth! He put some vitamin paste on her teeth and gave me some good tips on keeping them clean. He said that she should have her teeth brushed once a day and use non-fluoride toothpaste. He also said that the best way to brush was to have her sit on my lap facing forward and lean back. Since she does have so many teeth at such a young age she is at risk for tooth decay. One of the factors that contribute to that is that she is still eating a lot of soft foods-- coarser foods like meat actually help keep tarter down and act as natural cleaning agents. Fortunately, CJ is learning how to use her chompers pretty well, so she will be eating steak in no time! She also really likes to brush her teeth.

Here are some pictures of Rory and CJ brushing their teeth in February.

Tell that former male model to put his shirt back on, he's making me feel like I'll never be a real man.

Your kiddo is just beautiful-

Love,
Uncle Phil and Auntie Cara.

Oops. Okay, let's give this another try. Those are some cute pics, and by cute I mean the kid not the naked dude :). Ha, but that is interesting about meat and teeth and stuff. How you guys doing? Are you guys having another girl? I'm hoping that the curse will break sometime.
